Kellie Martel Gonzalez - Owner - Master Stylist
Hi, my name is Kellie Martel Gonzalez and I am the owner of Pure Reflections Salon & Boutique. I am originally from Connecticut, but I have lived in NC for 18 years now. I began my training at the Aveda Institute of Charlotte NC, but my passion for enhancing others' beauty and helping to create and keep smiles on their faces has been lifelong. I have continued my years of training, and work around the Huntersville, Mooresville, and Charlotte area. I have acquired experience in multi-million dollar salons. Yet I will never forget the value of a hard-earned dollar. I understand how valuable your time is and I work diligently so as not to waste it, but I am also aware that for some if not all clients a trip to the salon is a treat to themselves and you deserve to be pampered. Therefore while being careful to take extra special care to achieve the very best outcome for all of my clients I invite you to relax and have fun while you are in my chair. I have been in the beauty industry for 11 years, and I am very passionate about my work. I am continually reaching to be the best at what I do. I know that there is always more to be learned. I keep myself updated on the newest trends and styles, and I attend shows and classes. I am a master stylist. I specialize in color and cuts. I work with all hair types. My phone number is 704.213.0596. Call me if you have any questions or to set up an appointment. I look forward to seeing you soon. Thank you and God bless!

Martha Gates Martel - Massage Therapist
Hello, my name is Martha Gates Martel, and I have been a licensed massage therapist since January 18, 2002. I am originally from Fayetteville/Fort Bragg, North Carolina. I received my professional massage therapy training in Charlotte, NC at SOUTHEASTERN SCHOOL OF NEUROMUSCULAR AND MASSAGE THERAPY and received my licensure from the NC State Board in Raleigh, NC ; License #2798.
The last six weeks of my training I was offered an internment with two prestigious chiropractors in Charlotte. The extra training, from the eyes of two brilliant doctors, enabled me to see structural abnormalities with precision.
Many years before my licensure in massage therapy, I lived in Idaho for fourteen years competing in triathlons, half marathons, cross country skiing, and as a cyclist riding for Idaho Mountain Touring, and High Desert Velo which allowed me to cycle all over Idaho, and parts of Oregon, and Washington. My Italian green Bianchi is still in my living room right beside my Peloton.
While competing in cycling, I was offered the chance to work with friends/team members as they participated in THE WOMENS CHALLENGE, a nine day stage race that covers all over Idaho, begins with a time trial up Bogus Basin, and ends at the night race in downtown Boise. I met other cyclists from all over the world. I would flush their legs out using sports massage, stretching, deep tissue, and encouraging hydration, prepping their body for the next stage of their race. We had access to the VO2 max testing, which measures a person’s an-aerobic threshold, strengthens an athlete that wants strong, increased endurance. My heart and brain were in their perfect element.
I can honestly say that I received 70% of my training hands on before I ever sat in a therapy class. I was always interested in Anatomy/Physiology as a child. My mother had friends at Womack Army Hospital that would encourage me to hang out in the labs, ask questions, and I took every advantage to practice massage therapy on those around me. Having my first professional massage in my twenties cemented that idea. I knew I could help professional athletes, weekend warriors, or anyone in need of pain/stress relief.
Since 2001 I have had the honor to work with many professional athletes, their teams, family, sports media, travelling all over the United States. I have provided various modalities of massage therapy to clients based on their individual needs which includes Neuromuscular massage, deep tissue, sports massage, Thai massage/stretching, Pregnancy, Reflexology, Cupping, Hot Stone massage, Lymphatic drainage, Myofascial release, pre and post surgery detox, body scrubs and wraps, Geriactric massage, Migraine relief, and Aromatherapy blends based on clients’ personal needs.
Massage therapy is a process of cleaning your body, providing pain management, detox, and great overall health benefits. I look forward to working with people, teaching techniques I have learned, and sharing basic health information that you will be able to use in your every day life.
I attended Boise State University four years with my emphasis on Business Administration /Marketing. I have my Associates in Accounting, I earned my Certified Nursing Aid from Mitchell Community College in Statesville, NC in 2018; I have taken many classes in Nutrition and Holistic Health from Kaplan University in Charlotte, NC. Licensed Massage Therapists are responsible for twenty-four hours of Continuing Education, which includes Business and Professional Ethics every two years. Continual learning builds on what we already know, and allows us to widen our circle for tomorrow.
When I am home, I really enjoy cooking for my husband, son and extended family. I have a variety of Pets that I adore, gardens to care for, books to read, and children to teach. I enjoy travelling, kayaking, riding my Peloton, hiking, and I hope to find a place to cross country ski here in the NC mountains soon. Life is too good to keep it to yourself, therefore we share what we know and Love. I always tell my clients to drink more water and stay away from mean people. Take care of your body, it’s the only one you have. Please feel free to contact me anytime at 704.658.7651 with any questions.
